The Tahoe City Public Utility District was recognized as the Region 3 Winner for the 2023 ACWA Outreach Recognition Awards at ACWA's Fall Conference in November.

Sean Barclay, General Manager of TCPUD, along with Board Member John Pang, attended the annual conference, which provides water industry professionals an opportunity to exchange and explore ideas critical to shaping the future of water security in California. This award recognizes TCPUD's efforts and hard work supporting important ACWA initiatives this past year. Notably, TCPUD's close work with ACWA legislative advocates has resulted in significant support for the critical issue of water infrastructure for fire suppression. 

The TCPUD has been a member of ACWA since 1990 and, as a member, has taken several opportunities to engage with ACWA’s outreach activities focused on topics including water infrastructure, climate resilience, and fire suppression.
